About Laura
Laura is a Nashville-based writer whose work blends a passion for France with two decades of storytelling experience. From 2001 – 2005, Laura lived in France, including a transformative year in Paris as Dame Olivia de Havilland's personal assistant.
With a devotion to writing and storytelling, Laura returned to the U.S. and joined The Rosen Group public relations firm in Washington, D.C. As a Senior Account Executive, she designed story campaigns that garnered national media coverage for her clients in outlets such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Today Show, Good Morning America, CNN, CNBC, and NPR. She later brought her narrative skills to the nonprofit world as a grant writer for more than a decade, developing compelling stories that tied mission to funding. Laura then served as a copywriter for a creative agency, crafting story-driven fundraising campaigns that helped organizations inspire support.
Laura graduated from Baylor University with a degree in French. Her writing has appeared in BeE Woman magazine and Jean-François Chaix's Loin du Midwest (Far from the Midwest)—a book exploring expatriate life as an American in France. Beyond writing, she has a special affinity for black-and-white street photography. A devoted dog lover, brunch enthusiast, and seeker of beauty in the everyday, she travels to Europe with her husband as often as she can.
